Wet Scrubber System

Efficient removal of particulate matter and soluble gases from industrial exhaust

What is a Wet Scrubber System?

A Wet Scrubber System is an air pollution control device that removes particulate matter, acidic gases and soluble contaminants from industrial exhaust streams by bringing the polluted gas into direct contact with a scrubbing liquid.

Wet scrubbers are widely used across chemical, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries due to their high efficiency, operational reliability and ability to handle corrosive and high-temperature gases.

At Varma Enterprises & Fiber Industries, our wet scrubbers are engineered using PP and FRP materials to ensure long service life and corrosion resistance.

Wet Scrubber System

Working Principle

In a wet scrubber system, the contaminated gas stream enters the scrubber chamber where it comes in contact with the scrubbing liquid (usually water or a chemical solution).

Main Components

Scrubber Body

Fabricated from PP / FRP to withstand corrosive gases and harsh operating conditions.

Spray Nozzles

Uniformly distribute the scrubbing liquid to maximize gas-liquid contact.

Mist Eliminator

Removes liquid droplets from the cleaned gas before discharge to atmosphere.

Recirculation Tank & Pump

Collects and recirculates the scrubbing liquid for continuous operation.

Applications

Chemical manufacturing plants

Pharmaceutical industries

Acid gas and fume control systems

Process exhaust air treatment
